# Get a Single Carrier

This endpoint returns details about a specified [connected carrier account](/apis/shipengine/docs/carriers/connect), rather than listing all details for all connected carriers, as with the [List Carriers call](/apis/shipengine/docs/reference/list-carriers).

Use this endpoint with the carrier's `carrier_id` to retrieve details about a carrier's services, available options, available packages, and values for other carrier-specific properties.

**Example Response**

The response will include `carrier_id`, `carrier_code`, the `services` object, `packages` object, `options` object, and other properties related to this carrier.

> **Note:** Some carriers may include a `connection_status` field indicating the approval state of the carrier connection. Possible values are `approved` or `pending_approval`.
